The EU Green Week 2025, Europe’s most prominent environmental event, is set to take place from 3-5 June in Brussels. This year, the focus is on circular economy solutions, addressing some of the EU’s most pressing challenges, such as waste reduction, resource efficiency, and fostering sustainable innovation. Organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment, this annual event brings together policymakers, businesses, environmental organisations, and citizens to promote sustainable practices and explore ways to embed circularity into Europe’s economic and environmental strategies.

The conference in Brussels will feature two key segments. From 3-4 June, high-level policy discussions will explore the transformative potential of circular models in creating a cleaner, more competitive, and sustainable Europe. Expert speakers will discuss how circular resource use can bolster economic resilience, reduce dependence on external resources, and drive innovation across industries. On 5 June, the spotlight will shift to stakeholder-driven discussions. Industry leaders, local communities, and NGOs will collaborate on implementing practical solutions for circularity, facilitated by the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform and the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative.
Beyond the main conference, Green Week Partner Events will run throughout June, extending the dialogue to local and regional levels. These events will engage businesses, individuals, and communities through activities such as workshops, debates, exhibitions, and project tours. Applications for hosting partner events are open from 3-21 March 2025, with guidance available in February to support organisers in creating impactful initiatives.
For over 25 years, EU Green Week has played a pivotal role in shaping Europe’s environmental policies. This year’s focus on circularity aligns with broader EU goals, including the upcoming Competitiveness Compass and Clean Industrial Deal, which aim to enhance strategic autonomy and resource sustainability.
Registrations for the Brussels conference will open in April 2025, offering a chance for all stakeholders to join the effort in making circular solutions a cornerstone of Europe’s green transition. Let’s work together to turn the promise of a circular economy into reality. Save the dates, engage, and take action!
