This session marks the continuation of the annual gatherings where representatives from all member states come together to discuss and work on a broad array of international issues including peace and security, international law, economic development, and social progress. Following the opening, the high-level General Debate, a centerpiece of UNGA sessions, will commence on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. This segment offers a platform for member states to raise and address pressing global concerns, present their national perspectives, and outline their foreign policy agendas in front of a global audience. The General Debate often attracts considerable international attention as world leaders use this occasion to express their views, propose solutions to global challenges, and set the tone for their country’s diplomatic engagements for the upcoming year.
